Meet the Founder & Director

Yeukai Tsikira, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Bachelor of Arts in Behavioural Science | Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology

Hello! My passion for this work began with my mother’s story. Witnessing her resilience through hardship shaped my belief that healing must include both individuals and the family systems they’re part of. That insight drives my commitment to trauma-informed, family-centered care.

I specialize in trauma recovery, including PTSD, complex trauma, intergenerational trauma, racial trauma, and religious or faith-based trauma. With roots in African ancestral spirituality and lived experience navigating the tension between cultural identity and religious expectations, I bring deep empathy to clients impacted by spiritual abuse, religious trauma, and cultural disconnection. I also support survivors of abuse including emotional, sexual, psychological, financial, and domestic violence.

Moreover, I am an EMDR therapist, and my approach integrates person-centered care with evidence-based modalities such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), ACT, TF-CBT, IFS, and somatic trauma work. Whether we’re addressing anxiety, depression, grief, self-harm, or major life transitions, I approach each client with compassion, cultural awareness, and respect for their agency.

Beyond therapy, I speak and consult on trauma, identity, and mental health with a focus on decolonizing wellness. Healing is not just personal; it’s generational, cultural, and political. I’m here to walk with you as you reclaim your voice, your story, and your strength.
